Welcome to SOAR!
SOAR (Students, Ownership, Autonomy, Relevance) is a combination course-work and field-experience program that runs parallel to “traditional” high school, providing students with relevant, real-world educational experiences to prepare them for, and pursue their own career goals in the 21st Century. Students can choose from eight career pathways. The goal of SOAR is to provide students with the most relevant and authentic learning experience possible by taking into account their own career goals, matching them to a Pathway, and providing the opportunity for direct field-based learning and working experiences aligned with that Pathway. Students will participate in field experiences and work with community partners related to their pathway. To graduate students from Lift For Life Academy that exhibit excellence in the 6 SOAR Graduate Aims and course Power Standards.
