Elementary School

Dear Lift for Life Academy Elementary School Families,

We are excited to welcome you back for the 2022-2023 school year! As a school, we were able to expand our literacy resources, increase our PTA engagement, grow our music and electives program, and move our students forward socially, emotionally, and academically.

Entering this new year, we are looking to focus on parent partnerships and student growth. We know that when the school and the families work together, children win. We are looking forward to expanding our connection with families through more family events, a growing parent-teacher organization, intramural sports, volunteer opportunities, open houses, parent-teacher conferences, student work showcases, and much much more. One of the greatest strengths of Lift for Life Academy is how strong and connected our parent base is. Our families care deeply about their children and their education, and we plan to leverage that to produce great student
outcomes in this upcoming school year.

At Lift for Life Elementary School, we are committed to creating a culture of belonging amongst our students, staff, and families. One important way we do this is by representation. We want our students to see themselves reflected in the excellence all around them. When you walk into our school you will see our halls filled with images of black excellence. In our classrooms, you will see students reading books written by black authors featuring black characters. At our fine arts showcases, you will see art pieces inspired by the work of African American artists and music written by black composers.

We will continue to provide our students with authentic learning experiences to give them a fuller appreciation of the world around them by  exposing them to a wide variety of non-fiction and fiction text, hands-on learning, and unique field trips. We are also committed to personalizing the learning your child receives. In each content area, the activities and objectives are specifically tailored to your child's specific needs. By incorporating voice and choice, we empower your child to take pride and ownership in their own learning.
