On Give STL Day 2017, we are asking you to invest in Lift For Life Academy Students like Karlos:
Many LFLA students enter 6th grade 2-4 years behind in reading and math, but Lift For Life Academy provides individualized learning experiences for these students to learn in their own unique way and graduate on time. Since 2012, the Academy has maintained a 93+% graduation rate, with over one-third of graduating seniors have a least one class worth of college credit through Saint Louis University.
On this day of giving in the St. Louis, please consider supporting the future leaders of our community as they build paths to success at Lift for Life Academy.
Many students and staff describe LFLA as a family. Take a closer look inside the Academy and find out why:
In addition to rigorous attention to core classes, Lift For Life Academy offers unique programs like Engineering, Fashion Design, Business, Mandarin Chinese and free Drivers’ Ed. A private chef prepares two nutritious, delicious meals a day for all students at LFLA. After-school opportunities abound, with athletics in fall, winter and spring, along with unique service/women’s leadership in the Metro Leadership League, chess club, band & pep squad, a Jewelry Design Club, a Gardening club, and a speech competition club.
All of this is available to the 580 6th-12th graders at Lift For Life Academy each year at no-cost to them or their families.
Here, two LFLA juniors describe their project in their Engineering Class, where they are in a VEX Robotics unit focused on using electronics and sensors to complete robotic challenges:
LFLA is a place for students to find their voice and tell their story. Listen to LFLA junior, Kyayaa, give her 1st place speech in this year’s high school Poetry Slam:
Every single day, Lift For Life Academy students are overcoming obstacles that stand in the way of their goals and are overcoming the odds that say they will fail. Please join us in giving our students the key to unlock their full potential.
Any tax-deductible gift you can make on this day of giving would be greatly appreciated.
