--> While looking at your reference photo, attached below and without the grid, begin selecting the appropriate pencil to match the values you see.
--> I suggest starting at the top of your drawing and working your way down so that you have less of an opportunity to smear the graphite.
--> Be sure to use clean blending stump or cotton balls when shading the skin of the face, this will help you to maintain smooth value and avoid blotchy patches.
--> Look closely at all the areas of your drawing and try to recognize any areas of shadow or highlight you can. Add in the shadows with a 4b pencil and erase out the highlights with an eraser.
--> The last step is to take a photo of your drawing using the cork board and attach the photo to this classroom assignment.
