The 2nd Annual Uber Asphalt (Urban Bike Experience Ride) is an obstacle hunt using bikes, brains and brawn. Starting and ending at Lift For Life Academy, 1731 S. Broadway in Soulard, cyclists in teams of two create their own routes, taking them through St. Louis, in a race to complete this fun scavenger hunt. At six checkpoints, riders collect bottle caps to be redeemed at the race’s end for a 6 pack of craft beer, for the under 21 crowd a 6 pack of craft soda. And every rider receives a commemorative pint glass.
NEW THIS YEAR: A division for individual riders who only want to ride to each station but don’t want to compete in the obstacles.
This is a fundraiser to benefit Lift For Life Academy, a St. Louis charter school serving 580 students.
This race will be limited to the first 500 teams to register, so register early. You don’t want to miss the fun.
- May 1st through May 31st $85 per obstacle team. $42.50 for a solo rider (solo riders don’t complete obstacles)
- June 1st through June 30th $90 per obstacle team. $45 for a solo rider
- July 1st through July 17th $100 per obstacle team. $50 for a solo rider

Depending on your planned route, the approximate miles could be from 20 to 1000.
PLEASE NOTE THE COURSE IS NOT CLOSED TO TRAFFIC.
How well do you know St. Louis? Leading up to the event, checkpoint clues will be posted on Uber Asphalt’s Facebook page. Teams choose their route and checkpoint order, giving a distinct advantage to the uber clever.
We are all winners! While there are prizes for the top three in each division (men’s team, women’s team, coed team, and family team), this ride is designed as an all-inclusive fun raiser. You can wear spandex and clip in, or flip flops and ride a cruiser. Just remember safety is our highest priority, and please be respectful of the rules of the road.
These will be announced within a week of the race, but will primarily be in the city limits of St. Louis.
Compliments of the house:
All participants will receive an event t-shirt, the opportunity to earn a six pack of assorted craft beers, a free after party with a complimentary brew, and the great feeling that you donated to a local not-for-profit education facility in the city – Lift For Life Academy.
