Uber Asphalt is an obstacle hunt using bikes, brains and brawn. Starting and ending at Lift For Life Academy on Broadway, bikers in teams of two create their own courses throughout the city of St. Louis in order to get through six checkpoint obstacles in a race to complete this wild scavenger hunt in under 3 hours. At each of the six checkpoints, teammates complete an adventurous obstacle, collect a bottle cap, then remount their bikes and hit the streets for more. The goal is to complete all the checkpoints in the shortest amount of time. Complete the bonus obstacle at the Muny and your team gets a pizza to go with your beer. Only those contestants who complete all 7 obstacles have the opportunity to win.
Upon finishing, each team will receive a New Belgium beer for each bottle cap collected and turned in — up to a 6 pack per rider. For the under 21 crowd, an assorted 6 pack of Fitz’s Soda can be achieved. (Under 21 can compete with an adult.)
This race will be limited to the first 500 teams to register, so register early. You don’t want to miss the fun.
